Microsoft Update his Logo new amazing style

Microsoft updates logo for first time in 25 years

In advance of one of the most significant waves of product launches in Microsoft’s history, today we are unveiling a new logo for the company.

It’s been 25 years since we’ve updated the Microsoft logo and now is the perfect time for a change. This is an incredibly exciting year for Microsoft as we prepare to release new versions of nearly all of our products. From Windows 8 to Windows Phone 8 to Xbox services to the next version of Office, you will see a common look and feel across these products providing a familiar and seamless experience on PCs, phones, tablets and TVs. This wave of new releases is not only a re-imagining of our most popular products, but also represents a new era for Microsoft, so our logo should evolve to visually accentuate this new beginning.

The Microsoft brand is about much more than logos or product names. We are lucky to play a role in the lives of more than a billion people every day. The ways people experience our products are our most important “brand impressions”. That’s why the new Microsoft logo takes its inspiration from our product design principles while drawing upon the heritage of our brand values, fonts and colors.

The logo has two components: the logotype and the symbol. For the logotype, we are using the Segoe font which is the same font we use in our products as well as our marketing communications. The symbol is important in a world of digital motion (as demonstrated in the video above.) The symbol’s squares of color are intended to express the company’s diverse portfolio of products.

Starting today, you’ll see the new Microsoft logo being used prominently. It will be used on Microsoft.com – the 10th most visited website in the world. It is in three of our Microsoft retail stores today (Boston, Seattle’s University Village and Bellevue, Wash.) and will shine brightly in all our stores over the next few months. It will sign off all of our television ads globally. And it will support our products across various forms of marketing. Fully implementing a change like this takes time, so there may be other instances where you will see the old logo being used for some time.

We’re excited about the new logo, but more importantly about this new era in which we’re reimagining how our products can help people and businesses throughout the world realize their full potential.

SMS Limit Increased To 20 Per Day

Now Indian government on 23 August, 2012 (Thursday) exceeded the SMS limit from the present 5 to 20 with immediate effect. This is official announcement by Indian Govt.

On 18th August 2012, the Indian telecom operators had been asked by department of telecommunications to block bulk messages in India for a period of 15 days (From 18th August 2012, till 1st of September), due to which prepaid users could not send more than 5 SMSes per day & MMSes with over 20kbps could not be delivered. Still, postpaid users can send unlimited SMSes.

IAMAI has asked the govt. to do away with this limit on SMSes for mobile companies since it hampers their regular business. On the other hand, education centres also say that they are unable to inform students about the timings of their classes.

I hope all students are happy now, because they can send 20 SMS per day now. Please spread this post with your friends also.

Top 10 Youtube Tricks

Youtube – You know that site with videos and all. Yeah! It turns out that its quite popular and you happen to visit and use it quite often. Instead of just searching and playing here are some top Youtube URL tricks that you should know about:

1. View high quality videos
Youtube gives you the option to switch to high quality videos for some of the videos, however you can check if a video is available in high quality format by appending ‘&fmt=18′(stereo, 480 x 270 resolution) or ‘&fmt=22′(stereo, 1280 x 720 resolution) for even higher quality.

2. Embed Higher Quality Videos
While the above trick works for playback, if however you want to embed hig quality videos you need to append “&ap=%2526fmt%3D18″ and “&ap=%2526fmt%3D22″ to the embed url.

3. Cut the chase and link to the interesting part
Linking to a video where the real action starts at 3 minutes 22 seconds, wondered if you could make it start at 03:22? You are in luck. All you have to do is add #t=03m22s (#t=XXmYYs for XX mins and YY seconds) to the end of the URL.
4. Hide the search box

The search box appears when you hover over an embedded video. To hide the search box add ‘&showsearch=0′ to the embed url.

5. Embed only a part of Video
Just append ‘&start=30′ to skip first 30s of the video. In general you can modify the value after start= to the number of seconds you want to skip the video for.

6. Autoplay an embedded video
Normally when you embed a Youtube video and load the page, the player is loaded and it sits there waiting for you to hit the play button. You can make the video play automatically by adding ‘&autoplay=1′ to the url part of the embed code.

7. Loop an embedded video
Append ‘&loop=1′ to make the video start again without user intervention after it reaches the end.

8. Disable Related Videos
Publishing your content in the form of Youtube video? Don’t want people to see other people’s content that may be related but may as well be in competition to you? Just add ‘&rel=0′ to the end of the url part of the embed code and you just turned off the related video suggestions!

9. Bypass Youtube Regional Filtering
Some videos are only available in certain parts of the world. Your IP Address is used to determine your location and then allow or deny access to the video. Change the url from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<somecode> to http://www.youtube.com/v/<somecode>

10. Download Video
Although not inherently a youtube trick but useful all the same for downloading videos. Just change youtube to kickyoutube in the url of the video and it will take you to kickyoutube.com with all the options for downloading the video you were watching.

5 SMS Per Day Limit In India For 15 Days

Home Ministry asks DoT to implement the SMS/MMS Ban order through the Mobile Service providers across the country.

It is time to cut down your sms rate for 15 days. The ministry of Home Affairs has banned bulk SMSes and MMSes for 15 days starting from 16th August, which has led to exodus of North Eastern people from certain parts of country.
Union Home Secretary, Mr. R.K. Singh, said ”from today onwards, No one will be able to send more than 5 SMS  in one go and MMSes of more than 20 KB data through their mobile phones (CDMA/GSM) during the ban period.”
India’s Home Ministry has asked Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to implement the SMS/MMS Ban order through the Mobile Service providers (GSM/CDMA) across the country.
The ban announced by Home Ministry just after Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh said that spread of rumors by miscreants had led to people belonging to the North East to flee from Hydrabad (Andhra Pradesh) Bangalore (Karnataka), Pune (Maharashtra) and some other parts of the country, amidst threats of retaliatory attacks over Assam violence.

Security Tips For Generation Y (Gen y)

If you are part of Generation Y then your daily life is all about being connected. Tweeting, friending, and googling is routine, but protecting yourself from the various cyber-related issues that will likely pop up should be, too.

Know More About Genration Y
According to our research, only 31% of Gen Y ranked security as the most important consideration when making decisions about their computer. In fact, Gen Y was more likely to prioritize entertainment and community than security. This is in spite of the fact that at least half indicated that they had computer security issues in the past two years.

In reality, being proactive with personal online security doesn’t have to be an inconvenience and should be a priority for this connected generation. Here are ten ways to get started.

1. Get Back to the Basics

It sounds simple, but regularly updating your computer’s operating system and software is one of the most important ways to protect it since updates are often how companies address a possible security issue. Plus, it’s not exactly hard. You can easily configure your operating system to automatically check for updates.

2. Don’t be Click Happy

Did you know that more than 9,500 malicious websites are detected by Google every single day? This stat includes legitimate sites that have been hijacked and those that are designed to spread malware. Stay safe by being wary of the links you click. And remember to hover over links so that you can review the full address before you click. Finally, always keep your two-way firewall and antivirus up-to-date and active.

3. Pay Attention to the Latest Social Changes

Small changes can cause big problems if you’re not careful. For example, Facebook changed your default email to @facebook.com. This means that a whole new group of marketers and spammers will be able to contact you much more easily than ever before. Whether you like this (or not), adjust your privacy settings to protect yourself from possible issues.

4. Passwords, Passwords, Passwords

Always create strong passwords for online accounts, and include letters, numbers, and symbols. Longer passwords (at least 8-10 characters) are more secure and help prevent brute force attacks. And try not to use the same password for multiple sites. If a password gets compromised on one site, it may allow hackers to log into other accounts with the same credentials.

If you’re having trouble remembering all your passwords, try using an online password manager, such as LastPass. Alternatively, you can also keep track by setting up a simple spreadsheet. Instead of recording the actual password, type out a hint. Just be sure to password protect the document.

5. Gamers, Keep Security Software On

Don’t disable your security software when gaming. Yes, experiencing a high-speed connection with minimal interruptions is important, but not at the expense of security. Instead, look for “game mode” in your security software. This setting will never interrupt you while you’re in the middle of your game. It will also keep you protected.

6. Protect Against P2P and Pirated Software

The best solution is to simply never use P2P sites to download pirated software and, instead, download your files from the original software developer. If you still choose to take that risk, you should at least take a few precautions, like reading the user comments before you download the file. Keep in mind that many of today’s popular P2P sites offer a pretty accurate rating system that can provide you with a sense of just how these downloadable files have performed for other users.

7. Beware of Social Engineering Attacks

Cyber criminals scour social media sites all the time to learn all they can about potential targets. They’ll use the information they gather to send you highly-targeted emails, pretending to be from your boss, friend, or family member. Did you post information on Facebook about your favorite vacation spot only to receive an email from a co-worker about the best summer getaways, complete with a request to link to a recent article? That’s not a good sign. It’s also why you should always watch what you say online. Revealing too much information like a middle name or a pet name could be just enough to tip off a cyber criminal.

8. Choose Your Friends Carefully

There’s nothing like making connections online via Facebook and other social networks. However, you definitely put yourself at risk by not taking the time to filter who you accept into your inner circle. If you get a friend request from someone you haven’t spoken to in years or someone you don’t know, a social bot may be using this as an opportunity to hack into your network. They could exploit the trust you have built on Facebook and Twitter to send emails or notifications to your networks, using your access, information, and persona to solicit products and spread malware to others’ computers.

9. Take Care When Downloading Videos

Online video has really taken off, especially for Gen Y who often spends more time watching videos online than any other group. Be careful when downloading videos, as this activity could be a hotbed for viruses. If you don’t have the most up-to-date video player, download it directly from a trustworthy source. Never install software from file-sharing sites when trying to view a video, and keep in mind that downloading a video by itself should never require running an executable (.exe) file.

10. Be Cautious When Using Wi-Fi Hotspots

Most people are thrilled when they encounter free Wi-Fi hotspots. Before you connect, verify that the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is from a legitimate service. Do not connect to random, unsecured Wi-Fi networks. It increases your risk. And use a Virtual Private Network, if you can. A VPN allows you to route all your activity through a separate, secure, private network, even if you’re on a public one. Several services are available, or you can even go with an app like Hotspot Shield, which sets a VPN up for you automatically.

Staying vigilant is a good start, but it’s just not enough. Don’t be lulled into a false sense of security, no matter what your age. You will not only avoid becoming another statistic, you’ll also do your part to keep the Internet safe for your online community.

12 Best Tips To Search Google

Hello friends Now i tell you what is best tips to search on Google
After reading this post you are able to search fast on Google
If you like this post share us and follow us on social sites or subscribe us

1. Explicit Phrase:

Lets say you are looking for content about internet marketing.  Instead of just typing internet marketing into
the Google search box, you will likely be better off searching explicitly for the phrase.  To do this, simply enclose the search phrase within double quotes.
Example: "internet marketing"

2. Exclude Words:

Lets say you want to search for content about internet marketing, but you want to exclude any results that contain the term advertising.  To do this, simply use the "-" sign in front of the word you want to exclude.
Example Search: internet marketing -advertising

3. Site Specific Search:

Often, you want to search a specific website for content that matches a certain phrase.  Even if the site doesn’t support a built-in search feature, you can use Google to search the site for your term. Simply use the "site:somesite.com" modifier.
Example: "internet marketing" site:www.smallbusinesshub.com

4. Similar Words and Synonyms:

Let’s say you want to include a word in your search, but want to include results that contain similar words or synonyms.  To do this, use the "~" in front of the word.
Example: "internet marketing" ~professional

5. Specific Document Types:

If you’re looking to find results that are of a specific type, you can use the modifier "filetype:".  For example, you might want to find only PowerPoint presentations related to internet marketing.
Example: "internet marketing" filetype:ppt
6. This OR That:

By default, when you do a search, Google will include all the terms specified in the search.  If you are looking for any one of one or more terms to match, then you can use the OR operator.  (Note: The OR has to be capitalized).
Example: internet marketing OR advertising

7. Phone Listing:

Let’s say someone calls you on your mobile number and you don’t know who it is.  If all you have is a phone number, you can look it up on Google using the phonebook feature.
Example: phonebook:0175-223-0025 (note: the provided number does not work – you’ll have to use a real number to get any results).

8. Area Code Lookup:

If all you need to do is to look-up the area code for a phone number, just enter the 3-digit area code and Google will tell you where it’s from.
Example: 617

9. Numeric Ranges:

This is a rarely used, but highly useful tip.  Let’s say you want to find results that contain any of a range of numbers.  You can do this by using the X..Y modifier (in case this is hard to read, what’s between the X and Y are two periods.)  This type of search is useful for years (as shown below), prices, or anywhere where you want to provide a series of numbers.
Example: president 1940..1950

10. Stock (Ticker Symbol):

Just enter a valid ticker symbol as your search term and Google will give you the current financials and a quick thumb-nail chart for the stock.
Example: GOOG

11.Calculator:

The next time you need to do a quick calculation, instead of bringing up the Calculator applet, you can just type your expression in to Google.
Example: 48512 * 1.02

12. Word Definitions:

If you need to quickly look up the definition of a word or phrase, simply use the "define:" command.
Example: define:plethora

Idea launches MAGIC RECHARGE offering surprise talktime

Secure yourself from KEYLOGGER

Everybody hates keyloggers for the obvious reason, they log everything that you type including, but not limited to, you passwords, bank account numbers etc. This simple trick, that I'm going to unveil in the following text, was sent to me by one of my friends.
What is keylogger ?

A keylogger is a hardware device or a software program that records the real time activity of a computer user including the keyboard keys they press.
Keyloggers are used in IT organizations to troubleshoot technical problems with computers and business networks. Keyloggers can also be used by a family (or business) to monitor the network usage of people without their direct knowledge. Finally, malicious individuals may use keyloggers on public computers to steal passwords or credit card information.

Keylogger software is freely available on the Internet. These keyloggers allow not only keyboard keystrokes to be captured but also are often capable of collecting screen captures from the computer. Normal keylogging programs store their data on the local hard drive, but some are programmed to automatically transmit data over the network to a remote computer or Web server.

Detecting the presence of a keylogger on a computer can be difficult. So-called anti-keylogging programs have been developed to thwart keylogging systems, and these are often effective when used properly.

HOW TO FOOL A KEYLOGGER
Suppose your passsword is ANTIVIRUS, then don't type ANTIVIRUS while logging in. Type your password in a scrambled manner instead. Like first type VIR, then move the cursor to beginning and type TI then move the cursor to end and type US and finally move the cursor back to beginning and type AN. This way, key logger would assume that you typed VIRTIUSAN but you've actually typed ANTIVIRUS on the login form. It's pretty smart and easy way of fooling a key logger. Isn't it ?
But this is certainly not the best way of dealing with keyloggers because the method is flawed when viewed from the a programmer's point of view.
To be more secure, use up-to-date antivirus programs, scan your computer on a regular basis and avoid direct entry of important passwords, use a Onscreenkeyboard instead.

BitTorrent Tip to increase download Speed

Some users of the BitTorrent client report experiencing slow downloads when sharing P2P files. This is most likely to occur on computers behind a home router or software firewall.
Being behind firewalls, the BitTorrent client may block incoming Bit Torrent network connections. Given the load balancing and "swarming" nature of the BitTorrent network, clients unable to take incoming requests for uploads will naturally be allowed less bandwidth for downloads.

To solve this problem, consider the following:

When a user starts a BitTorrent client, the client sets up a network resource called a "port" to allow other Bit Torrent clients to connect ot it. Each port possesses a unique number called the "TCP port number."

A BitTorrent client normally associates the TCP port number 6881. However, if this port is busy for some reason, the client will instead try successively higher ports (6882, 6883, and so on up to a limit of 6999). In order for outside BitTorrent clients to reach this one, they must be able to connect to the correct port.

When connecting to another BitTorrent client, the requesting client will first try port 6881, then 6882, and so on. However, if the computer is on a firewalled network, the incoming request may not reach these ports. On the other hand, if these requests succeed, the accepting client will be able to download faster.

Firewalls can block nearly all of the ports used by P2P clients. To ensure the BitTorrent ports are made available to requesting clients, a home router or firewall can be manually configured to accept them. Most home routers possess a feature called "Port Range Forwarding" to do this. This feature allows the administer to tell the firewall where traffic for a given port number should be directed.

For BitTorrent, many home users set up port forwarding on the TCP range 6881-6889. These ports must be directed to the computer running the BitTorrent client. If more than one computer on the network may run BitTorrent, a different range such as 6890-6899 or 6990-6999 can be used for each. Remember that BitTorrent uses ports in the 6881-6999 only.

Many people don't realize that Windows XP computers include the built in Windows Firewall. If port forwarding is set up on a home router, but Windows Firewall is running on the BitTorrent client computer, incoming requests may still fail to reach the client. Ensure the Windows Firewall is either disabled or is set up to allow the appropriate BitTorrent ports to pass through. The same recommendation applies to other software firewalls.

On home networks without a router, the software firewall (Windows Firewall, ZoneAlarm, or other) must be set up to provide the equivalent forwarding or pass-through capability as needed.

Best music player for PC and Laptop KMPlayer

KMPlayer is a lightweight audio and video player for Windows that supports a wide range of different file formats, including AVI, ASF, WMV, AVS, FLV, MKV, and many more.
About :
Choosing a multimedia player used to be a real no-brainer. However, during recent times the raft of new features and updates added to classic media players like Winamp, Windows Media Player, and even iTunes have left the apps increasingly bloated. For those looking for a fresh alternative to these ballooning apps,
KMPlayer could be your ticket.

Like similar app UMPlayer, KMPlayer has a small desktop footprint and its minimalist interface makes video playback quick and hassle-free. The player's interface is fully skinable, and there are some nice aesthetic touches, such as the changing of colour on the player with every new track.

There are all sorts of options to help you pimp and customize KMPlayer, such as visualizations, plug-ins and playback options. But the beauty of KMPlayer is that these are turned on at your request rather than being forced upon you at the outset.

KMPlayer handles both audio and video, and supports a wide range of different formats, meaning that once installed, you should never need to touch another player. Video playback is particularly impressive thanks to the range of processing tools available that allow you to sharpen, change picture properties, apply filters and even make video captures from within the program.

If you're looking for a customizable, light yet powerful video player, KMPlayer is exactly what you need.
